Privacy Policy
CCC i-Hymns is a not-for-profit application created to make the hymns of the Celestial Church of Christ available to worshippers everywhere. We respect your privacy and collect as little information as possible.
You can read, search and save hymns without giving us any personal information at all. An account is only required for the optional community features described below.
Information we collect
1. Information you choose to give us
If you create an account or contact us, we collect what you enter:
- Name and email address
- Optional profile details: photo, gender, date of birth, phone number, postal address, occupation and social media handles
- Prayer requests, testimonies and messages you send us
These are stored on our servers so the feature can work. We do not sell them.
2. Information collected automatically
- Usage and diagnostics — we use Google Firebase Analytics to understand which parts of the app are used and where problems occur. This covers device model, operating system version, app version, and in-app events. It is not used to identify you personally.
- Notification token — if you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging provides a device token that we store so we can send announcements. It contains no personal details.
3. Information kept only on your device
The following never leaves your phone and is not visible to us: your saved favourites, your recently viewed hymns, your theme and text-size settings, any notes you write, and the offline copy of the hymns and Bible. Removing the app deletes all of it.
How we use your information
- To provide the hymns, Bible, devotionals and other content in the app
- To publish prayer requests and testimonies you deliberately submit
- To reply to messages you send us
- To send announcements, if you have allowed notifications
- To fix problems and improve the application
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.
Who else can see it
We share information only where it is necessary to run the app:

Anything you post publicly — a prayer request or testimony — is visible to other users of the app. Please do not include private details in those posts.
Children
The app is rated suitable for all ages and contains no content directed at children specifically. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights and choices
- Use the app anonymously — hymns require no account.
- Turn off notifications — in your device settings at any time.
- Access or correct your details — from your profile in the app, or by emailing us.
- Delete your account — you can delete your account and its data from within the app, or email us and we will do it for you.
We keep account information only for as long as your account exists. Once an account is deleted, its personal details are removed from our records.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and stored on access-controlled servers. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you entrust to us.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. Please review it from time to time.
